V and A Museum of Childhood

The museum was formed in 1872. This was founded as the Bethnal Green Museum. The Museum is a branch of Victoria and Albert museum. This is considered as the United Kingdom’s national museum of applied arts.

The mission of the museum is "To enable everyone, especially the young, to explore and enjoy the designed world, in particular objects made for and made by children." 

The V & A Museum of childhood consists of national collection of childhood objects from 1600 to the modern day. This includes all the things like play, childcare, games, dolls, learning and clothing that are related to all the aspects of the childhood.  Rare, handcraft objects from the 20th century are also can be seen under one roof to reveal the difference in the way the children lived, the behavior according to their surrounded objects. 

Apart from that the museum conducts special events, exhibitions, workshops, displays, activities and award-winning programs for schools.
