UK has been a hub for several different citizens for various purposes. As being vast in culture and opportunities, people glide towards UK. As of the different citizens, Turkish citizens have a proper procedure of visa application.
You can apply for a Turkish worker visa if you are a Turkish citizen and have legally worked in UK for a year or more.
You can do so if you
- Have a spouse in UK as a British national who has no restrictions on working in UK.
- Have a work permit to work in UK.
- Are a student who is allowed to work as part time on week days and full time during vacations.
Fee Structure
There are no fees for this application.
You will also have to pay a health expenses before you apply.
Duration of your stay
- The duration of your stay depends upon how long have you been working legally in UK.
- You must apply before your current permission to stay, expires.
- If you have worked up to 3 years then length of permission granted will be up to 2 years, if you continue to work for the same cooperation.
- If you have worked up to 4 years then length of permission granted will be up to 1 year, if you continue to work for same cooperation but you can change your occupation.
- If you have worked for more than 4 years then length of permission granted will be up to 3 years, and you can work for any cooperation.

- You cannot apply to permanently settle in UK
Eligibility
- Be a Turkish national
- Have worked in UK for at least a year
- You must have worked for the same cooperation and should mention the correct time period of work in your application. Your application may be refused if you’ve broken any immigration laws in the UK. Instead, you may need to apply for a working visa.
Enlisted documents you must provide
- Current passport showing the permission to work in the UK or other valid travel identification
- 2 passport size color photograph
- Proof of all your employment during your current stay in the UK, including original pay slips and bank statements for the whole period you’ve worked here.
- You will need to have a blank page in your passport on which to put the visa.
- If you’re an au pair, you can send a letter from your host family if you don’t have pay slips and bank statements.
- You may need to provide a police certification or a criminal record certificate.
- You should also provide evidence stating your plan (e.g. job application letter, interview letter), you may need to provide additional documents depending on your situation.
How to apply
You have to download the application form and then post it to the required address.
Biometric information
As part of your application, you’ll need to have your fingerprints and photograph taken at a Post Office.
