Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is primarily defined as a public square, located in City of Westminster in Central London. This square is built around the former area as Charing Cross. This name mainly commemorates the Trafalgar Battle, which is locally known as the British naval victory, took place on 1805, 21st October.

It was since 13th century, when this Trafalgar Square came into being, and was a popular spot from that time onwards. Previously, it used to contain King’s Mew. When George VI moved to Buckingham Palace, John Nash took the responsibility and redeveloped this place. However, the constructional work was a little bit slow after he died, and was not opened until 1844.This square is now a perfect place for community gathering, and saw some of the political demonstrations, as well.
