TIER 1 - EXCEPTIONAL TALENT VISA

This visa is available for applicants who has an international recognition for their work. International leaders, world level scientists, arts person, and who are willing to work in United Kingdom. Applicants will need to file the application from home country. Switching from any other immigration category to this category while residing in United Kingdom is not possible. This process can accept applications applied from abroad.

Basic Requirements

A set of specific requirements are there which are applicable to all of the applicants who are willing to apply for Tier 1 – Exceptional Talent Visa.

This is a point based visa process which needs at least 75 points to make an applicant get qualified to file an application for Tier 1 – Exceptional Talent Visa. An endorsement from a ‘designated competent body’ will be required to score 75 points. This an organization which confirms that an applicant is internationally recognized with an exceptional talent or have demonstrated exceptional qualities and will be able to become an exceptional world leading talent.

International students in United Kingdom who received financial sponsorship from a government or international scholarship agency might need to meet some additional requirements during visa process.

Visa Allowance

A person is allowed to live, work, and set up a business in United Kingdom without any restrictions once granted temporary residence with Tier 1 – Exceptional Talent Visa. These successful applicants will be able to avail free of cost services at public schools and subsidised tertiary education for dependents. These people can work and study without any restriction.

This visa is granted for 3 years and can get extended for another 2 years. An applicant can file for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) if found eligible. Permanent Residency is the next step once ILR is allotted. Once an applicant gets Permanent Residence, he/she is eligible to sponsor family for UK immigration.
