The Statue of Eros

One of the most recognizable symbols of London, The Statue of Eros is situated at the south and eastern side of the Piccadilly Circus. This statue was moved after the World War II took place from the original sector, and it was finally erected from 1892 to 1893. The main aim of this statue is to commemorate the works of famous Victorian Philanthropist and politician, Lord Shaftesbury. 

Some of the nude statues, generally termed as Eros, surround this monument. This status is defined as one the most famous sculpture works in all of London. This was the first statue in the world, which was casted in aluminum and it was set on bronze fountain. It helps in inspiring the marine motifs, which were carved on statue.
