The Geffrye, Museum of the Home

The Geffrye Museum is established in 1914 and it is considered as one of the most attractive museums in London. The aim of this museum is to bring the urban middle classes living rooms in England, specially in London.

The museum displays how homes have been changed and how those have been furnished over last 400 years according to the chronological changes of the rooms . And also shows the homes, according to the living patterns, society changes, behavioral patterns and their favor.  

The museum is established in almshouses of 18th century in Shoreditch, in London and world famous walled herb garden like picturesque gardens have been surrounded around the museum.

Free to enter the museum.

While the children do not require admission fees, Adults should pay £2.50 as admission fee. The almshouses open on certain Wednesdays and Saturdays (Check those details). 

Open and Close time

Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 - 17:00.

Sun and Bank Holiday Mondays 12:00 - 17:00. 

Closed Mondays, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day
