At roker(The blockyard) there is a great choice of eateries including downey's for fish and chips the scullery and the chicken shed,as well as the little cafes that have been there for years”.

REVIEW ⇒ “ Visited the Stadium of Light on many occasions, fab stadium. Been to several matches,and a night out from work in one of the suites Well organised on match days, plenty of stewards to guide you to your seats if needed. Also visited for the Take That concert, twice, again well organised. Downside for the ladies is toilet queues.

REVIEW ⇒ “ We found this National Trust Lighthouse by off chance but what a surprise. The staff are really keen and knowledgeable, especially the Guide who took us to the top of the Lighthouse and gave us the opportunity to see the light working and even see inside of it. A real credit to the NT and well worth a visit!
