Serpentine Galleries

When you are talking about Serpentine Galleries, you are practically talking about two individual galleries, located in Kensington Gardens in Hyde Park, London. This sector comprises of Serpentine Sackler Gallery and Serpentine Gallery, which are within 5 minutes of walk. These two galleries are linked with the help of bridge over Serpentine Lake, and the galleries get their names from here. The entire platform comprises of architecture, exhibitions, public programs and education, which easily attract 1.2 million of visitors, per year.

It was in the year 1970, when The Serpentine Gallery came into being, and it has been marked under Grade II list. J. Grey West structured it, from 1933 to 34. Later, in the year 2013, the Serpentine Sackler gallery was added with an extension, as defined by the architects of Zaha Hadid.
