National Portrait Gallery

Housing a vast space of portraits of historic importance, National Portrait Gallery is located in London and has been a major tourist attraction spot from its inception. This place comprises of portraits of some of the famous British people with historic importance. This place can be defined as the first portrait gallery in world, and it was opened in the year 1856. There are so many new events, which take place in the vast spacious interior.

After the inception, this place has been expanded twice. This gallery comprises of three regional outposts at Montacute House, Beningbrough Hall and Bodelwyddan Castle. This gallery comprises of non-department public body, which was later sponsored by Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

Prices:

You do not have to pay any entry free, as the gallery is among the free tours.

Open and closing time:

Saturday to Wednesday: 10am to 6pm

Thursday and Friday: 10am to 9pm
