National Maritime Museum Greenwich

King George VI opened the Maritime Museum to the public on 27th April 1937.

The National Maritime Museum is regarded as the largest museum in the world when compared with other this kind of museums in the world. This is in between top 10 United Kingdom visitors attractions. And also it is the main maritime museum in the United Kingdom.

This museum is sponsored by Department for Culture, media and Sport. The Museum does not take the admission charges except the temporary exhibitions.

The collection consists of more than 2 000 000 objects involving seafaring, navigation and astronomy. It consists of ship model collections in the world.
