Museum of the Order of St John

The collection of the museum contains furniture, silver, painting, coins and medals those were related to the knight’s history.  In the guided tours, visitors can see the 12th century Norman Crypt and the Grand Priory Church.

And also the museum displays the Armour, religious art, and manuscripts.

The museum if the of St John is a member of London Museums of Health and Medicine.

The museum presents the story of the Venerable order of Saint John as a pan-European order of Hospitaller Knights who was founded in Jerusalem during the Crusades, to the current behavior of providing first aid, St John Ambulance Brigade and the ophthalmic hospital in Jerusalem.

Free to enter the museum.

For guided tours a donation of £5 is suggested.

Open Close Time

Monday to Saturday 10.00 am – 5.00 pm.

Sunday 10.00 am – 5.00 pm. (during July, August and September).

Tours are available on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 11.00 am – 2.30 pm.

Additional public tours are available throughout July, August and September on Sundays at 2.00 pm.
