Museum of Croydon

The museum tells the story of the people who have lived and worked in Croydon and different aspects of the history of Croydon.

The collection brings the history of Croydon from 1800 to the modern day. This is a part of Croydon Council.

The Riesco Gallery which includes the Chinese pottery and ceramics, and also the story of the important black composer Samuel Coleridge Taylor. He lived in Croydon in most of his life.

This includes Tang dynasty tomb models and beautiful Ming dynasty bowls. 

Visitors can enjoy with dragon-themed soft toys, puppets, play with the building blocks, coloring sheets, word searches, puzzles, reading books.

Free to enter the museum.

Tuesday - Saturday: 10:30 - 17:00 

Closed on Sunday, Monday.
