London Zoo

Mostly defined as the oldest one of the scientific zoo, London Zoo is known for its wide selection of species. It was opened in the year 1828, and was former open for scientific study. It was later in the year 1847, when the zoo was opened to the public. At present, this zoo houses nearly 756 species of animals, along with 17,480 individuals, which makes it a zoo with largest collections in the UK.

Sometimes, this zoo is also termed as Regent’s Zoo. The Zoological Society of London currently manages it, which is located at the northern edge of the Regent’s Park. This platform does not have any state funding and primarily relies on Friends and Fellows memberships.
